Ex cast-in elements are heating products where the heating elements have been poured into aluminum, copper, copper alloy, bronze or another iron alloy with good heat transfer characteristics. The heating mould material transfers the heat to the product that needs to be heated.
The warmed molding material warms off so the product will be heated, which is in or against the molding material. We call this indirect heating.
An application of this heating technique is a cast element that is mounted around a tube, where the medium through flows through. Due to the enclosure of the material described above, excellent homogeneity in heat release is obtained.
Ex cast-in elements can be used up to temperatures of 950°C.
